Educación y Educadores in the top 100 of journals in Spanish of Google Scholar

The Facts

Google Scholar offers a statistics section that lists the most cited journals based on the journal's base language. The observation window is from 2018 to 2023. This year, Educación y Educadores ranks 96th for journals in Spanish, with an H5 index of 25. 

What does this mean for us? 

Being in the top 100 scientific journals in Spanish shows that our articles are widely read and referenced by researchers, teachers, students, and those interested in education from multiple professional approaches. Google Scholar statistics are fed by various types of papers, articles, theses, monographs, and more, that cover different areas, such as Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Technologies, and Mathematics; this means that the citations of our articles are in competition with journals from many disciplines. The H5 Index shows that the Journal has established itself as a diamond open-access scientific publication, with a high level of citation throughout the Region. 

By 2023, Educación y Educadores continues to be published in continuous publication, with a four-month periodicity: February to May, June to September, and October to January, with already consolidated content lines: school education, social pedagogy, university pedagogy, information technologies and communication in education, and management of educational institutions. It will maintain its essays section and has an open call for manuscripts.
