Educación y Educadores – Updates to Editorial Policies and Manuscript Submission Requirements

Good day to all our committee members, readers, reviewers, researchers, and users,
The following updates have been made to our editorial policies and submission requirements, along with new documents that are now available and must accompany your manuscripts when submitting to the journal. All additions have been translated and adapted into English and Portuguese—languages in which we also publish and which are available on our platform:

1. In the attachments module: A new component titled “Responsibility and Transparency Disclosures” has been added. It is now a required file type to be attached during submission.
2. In the attachments module: A new component for the “CRediT Document” has been added, which authors must upload when submitting a manuscript.
3. In the Submission Preparation Checklist: Instructions have been added asking authors to complete and submit both the Responsibility and Transparency Document and the CRediT Document.
4. Hyperlinked documents: Each new item in the checklist includes a direct hyperlink to download, complete, and upload the required documents. Below are the available files:

1. The CRediT authorship declaration policy has been added to the “About the Journal” and “Submissions” sections.
2. A new Policy on Ethical Commitment and the Use of Artificial Intelligence has been added to the “About the Journal” and “Submissions” sections.
3. A new Policy on the Journal’s Use of Artificial Intelligence has been added to the “About the Journal” section.
4. The same Policy on the Journal’s Use of Artificial Intelligence has also been added to the “About the Journal” section.

These changes are not merely technical improvements, but rather reflect our deeper reflection on the role of scientific journals in ensuring academic integrity, editorial transparency, and the fair recognition of intellectual contributions. They also provide future readers and data miners with dedicated sections that document essential aspects of the publication process such as funding, acknowledgements, data availability, and more.

We encourage our entire community to carefully review these updates, integrate them into future submissions, and become active participants in an editorial ecosystem committed to quality, innovation, and ethics in scholarly publishing.
