A Theoretical Review of the Quality of Higher Education in the Colombian Context

In Colombia, the quality of higher education depends on the environment in each institution and, therefore, is perceived differently. Accordingly, it is necessary to analyze what this means, what the trends are and the challenges now being faced, including the discussion and controversy generated by the educational reforms that have taken place in Latin America. The goal, in this respect, is to frame policies on the quality of higher education from the standpoint of equity and social relevance.
