Talking about Plato's Paideia
Abstract
This article divided into three parts, one of which is published in this issue, makes a rigorous analysis of Plato's thought about education and culture. The author deals, in this first moment, with the Paideia concept making it different from the simple trophe, or intellectual nutrition. It shows, from Plato's texts, what goals Plato proposes for education and the way they are attained, the characteristics the individuals of the educational process should have and the training types they should engage in order to embody the citizen's Greek ideal.
