La importancia del respeto en la educación

Abstract

The paper stems in considering respect as the parent of all virtues, for it constitutes the fundamental attitude that all of them presuppose. The main obstacles for the development of this virtue during infancy, adolescence and youth are described.

The paper ends by showing some means to achieve the development of this habit, stemming in the respect and appreciation for one’s own corporality.

Author Biography

Dietrich Von Hildebrand

Nacido en Florencia el 12 de octubre de 1889. Doctor en Filsofía en 1912. Enseña en la Universidad de Munich desde 1918 a 1933. En 1914 se convierte al Catolicismo. Fundador de la revista antinazi Der Christliche Staendestaat (diciembre de 1933). Enseña en la Universidad de Fordham, en Nueva York, desde 1941 hasta 1960. Muere el 26 de enero de 1977.
