Self-regulated Learning Trough the Moodle Virtual Platform

Using virtual platforms today is part of teaching; it is why this research analyzes theuse of Moodle software and how this use is related to encouraging self-regulatedlearning. To this end, this research stresses describing the main activities involved inself-regulated learning, virtual teaching platforms and reviewing investigations thathave used Moodle.
The results evidence how its use has had a positive impact both on teachers as well ason students. The platform can be used to design most self-regulated activities, mainlythose related to self-assessment. However, most investigations evidence sub utilizationof virtual resources and how their pedagogical potential remains unexplored.
