Keywords:

The results of a study on the values and expectations of teenagers in the province of Barcelona (Spain) are presented in this article. The overall objective of the study was to know what teenagers, families and teachers think about the values and expectations of young people. Accordingly, the authors felt it was essential to consult the opinion of the essential trinomial in education (teenagers, families and teachers). The research was based on the empirical analytical model, specifically the ex post facto research method and the option involving descriptive studies by survey. A questionnaire (for families and adolescents) and an interview with a priori categories for teachers were used to gather the data. The results indicate that families and teens opt for traditional values. However, teachers feel it is essential to approach the teaching of values with families and young people alike to promote education for life.
