Abstract

The article emphasizes the importance of introducing biotechnology as an initial and permanent part of the curriculum for training teachers in the field of biology, which is regarded as a discipline focused on the nature of the science and the needs of society. It is the result of a systematic bibliographic review, interpretation and analysis of conceptual elements concerning biotechnological knowledge and the training of biology teachers, from the standpoint of the complexity paradigm.
