Abstract

The article characterizes the semiotic training provided to medical students at universities in the city of Cali, Colombia.  A descriptive study was done to review information on the semiotics curriculum in medical studies at five institutions of higher education in Cali, using a hermeneutical approach.  Objectives or skills, teaching strategies, didactic resources and forms of assessment were found to be homogeneous, as were credits, time intensity, curriculum content and sequencing.
